Food quality was very mixed. Tried the lunch combo. The roti was good, DaalMakhani was good. But the panner dish was not great. I also got some masala dosa, utthapam and panner paratha to-go Dosa and utthapam were horrible. Uttapam was undercooked. Dosa was tasteless. Both Chutneys tasted a bit old and I did. It did want to risk it. Went here because I was visiting calTech and this was so close. Will not go here again

Came here a couple of times thinking it would be a better experience, But unfortunately it was not. I had ordered a combo and my first time they hardly added any food. This second time there was barely any chana masala on the bowl. Very cheap with food items. And very costly. I would recommend a different location in el monte. The food is good but even placing the order in person they dont serve like they care. Very cold. Best of luck to you guys. Their market is good. Nice spices. Update on menu as of aug 1 2025

My favorite place to get Indian food. And you’ll have to forgive me but I love a buffet. Always changing and a chance to try new things that look good. There’s also a full menu if you want. And, like a true Indian buffet, you pay at the end. And…..before you pay peruse the full grocery store for a ton of snacks, cookies, and of course spices. There also a lot of groceries to choose from if you need some paneer or yoghurt. Highly recommend for a meal and an experience!

Half grocery store and half restaurant. The grocery store side has lots of different selections for Indian cuisine essentials. The restaurant is vegetarian only but offers amazing and authentic Indian food. The flavors are intense and delicious. The portions are quite good and you get a lot of value. The 3 item combo is the best deal and every item tastes great.

This is a great little spot for inexpensive and super tasty vegetarian Indian food. The staff behind the counter have always been friendly and generous with samples. Today, I ordered the Special Cheese Dosa and they gave me a free cup of spicy vegetable soup just because I had to wait a couple of extra minutes for my order. So far everything we have tried at this place has been amazing. Getting a combo plate is a great way to try multiple curries in one visit. Full disclosure, I'm a big meat eater, but the vegetarian food at this place is so flavorful and satisfying that I actually crave it. They have some indoor and outdoor seating. Much less indoor currently than they had before the pandemic. The market has a good variety of frozen Indian food as well as tea, spices, dry and canned foods, snacks and treats. If you love Indian food flavors and/or really delicious vegetarian food you've gotta give this place a try!
